The diagram below was drawn by Mike Spencer who lived in the village for many years. Its primary purpose was to help parents at the primary school find ways to reach it from below without the hazard of walking up the Rake. However it illustrates imaginatively some of the places of interest around the centre of the village, and as such is reproduced here.
